We met while we were both learning each other's language. What started as practice conversations quickly turned into something we looked forward to every day.

We're getting married in Puerto Varas — and we'd love for you to be there.
Join us for a weekend in Puerto Varas filled with love, music, Chilean wine, and the people who mean the world to us.

We met while we were both learning each other's language. What started as practice conversations quickly turned into something we looked forward to every day.

Before long we were FaceTiming every night — time zones and all. More than a year of late-night calls later, I booked a flight to Chile to finally meet in person.

It was a wrap after that. We've been building a life across two countries ever since — and Puerto Varas felt like the right place to bring everyone together.
Casual gathering by the lake. Come as you are — meet fellow guests and toast to the weekend ahead.

Location: Downtown Puerto Varas
Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús is Puerto Varas's beloved landmark — a neo-Gothic wooden church on the main square, with its distinctive red spires and views of Lago Llanquihue. This is where we will exchange our vows.

Where the lake meets the volcanoes
A lakeside town of hydrangeas, German-colonial charm, and snow-capped peaks.
You'll want to have cash for the south of Chile. You can either withdraw Chilean pesos (CLP) from an ATM when you land — at Santiago (SCL) or Puerto Montt (PMC), depending on your route — or order pesos from your bank before the trip. We recommend the ATM — it's usually the best exchange rate and the most convenient. That said, ordering cash beforehand is a good idea too if you want peace of mind. We also recommend setting up WhatsApp before you leave home. It's how almost everyone communicates in Chile — hotels, drivers, restaurants, and friends all use it. If you're not on WhatsApp yet, download the app and link it to your phone number before you travel.
Most international guests fly into Santiago (SCL). From there, connect to Puerto Montt (PMC) — about a 1.5 hour flight — then a scenic 30-minute drive to Puerto Varas. Domestic flights are available via LATAM and Sky Airline. We recommend flying with LATAM — the experience is almost always better than Sky.
We recommend staying in Puerto Varas for easy access to all events. Hotel Cabana del Lago, Hotel Bellavista, and Hotel Cabaña del Lago are all within walking distance of the lakefront. Book early — February is peak summer in the Lakes District.
February in southern Chile is summer — expect warm days (18–25°C / 64–77°F) with cool evenings. Bring layers for lakeside breezes, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. Formal attire for the ceremony and reception. If Volcán Osorno shows up wearing a cloud hat, don't panic — that's just Chile's version of air conditioning.
You've come all the way to Chile — why not see more of it? Here are a few of our favorite places to explore before or after the celebration.
